Salesforce
Our take on Salesforce
Salesforce is the industry standard CRM and a core component of B2B GTM systems. Due to Salesforce’s highly customizable cloud platform, there are so many ways it can be set up that experienced users are needed to scale it effectively and drive sales and marketing alignment and revenue performance. Although there are other cheaper alternatives out there, it remains the standard CRM to help grow your business and one of our favorite platforms to build on.Salesforce FAQs*
Sales Cloud pricing ranges from $25 to $330 per user monthly, with many users citing high costs as a primary concern, particularly the requirement for annual subscriptions and additional fees for advanced features. The platform is considered expensive compared to alternatives, with costs being more affordable for enterprise users than small businesses due to the per-user pricing model.
Reviews consistently mention a “steep learning curve” that can be “frustrating at first,” with users noting the platform becomes more intuitive over time but requires patience and motivation to master. Users report needing technical training to fully leverage customization capabilities, though the platform becomes indispensable once users overcome the initial complexity.
Users frequently report slow performance, including lagging load times and occasional system freezes, particularly during peak usage hours when multiple users access the system simultaneously. While lag can be due to system throughput, it’s equally important that the way the UX was designed by your administrators affects load time as well.
As the major CRM in the market, Salesforce natively integrates well with many other SaaS solutions in the market. However, some integration challenges do exist with third-party systems, especially if a holistic view across Salesforce and the other systems weren’t taken into consideration when developing a solution.
Sales Cloud’s key advantages include powerful automation capabilities without coding requirements, extensive customization options that align with business objectives, and a flexible data model that enables robust reporting for performance tracking and strategic planning.
